Building Prometheus
Project Overview
I have recently started working on a personal project called Prometheus. The goal of this project is to create a self-hostable video streaming solution, which can rival YouTube in terms of features, while being completely open-source and privacy-focused.
Users would be able to create, host and manage their own video streaming platform, without relying on third-party services. There would be no ads and no tracking, just pure video streaming.

Privacy and Control
The creator would host all videos on their own hardware, and have full control over their content and data. This means that users can customize their platform to fit their needs, and have the peace of mind that their data is not being sold or misused by a third party.

Current Development Status
The project is in active development, and I am currently working on the core features of the platform. A first version is available on GitHub.
Note: I would not recommend using it in production yet, as there are still many features missing and bugs to be fixed.
However, I am excited about the potential of this project, and I believe that it could be a great alternative to existing video streaming platforms.
